If some of your WhatsApp messages are not being delivered, DMLY allows you to quickly identify affected contacts and understand the reason for the failure.
Follow the steps below to locate undeliverable or failed WhatsApp contacts.
From your DMLY dashboard:
Click Contacts in the left sidebar.
Use the filter option:
Toggle the “Message Undeliverable / Failed Contacts” filter.
This will display only contacts where WhatsApp message delivery failed.
Failed contacts are marked with a ⚠ warning or exclamation icon.
Hover your cursor over the warning icon next to the contact.
You’ll see the exact reason for the failure, such as:
❌ Invalid phone number
🚫 User blocked your business
📱 Outdated WhatsApp version
⛔ WhatsApp account not active
⚠ Template rejection or policy restriction
This helps you take the correct action immediately.
The phone number is incorrect or not registered on WhatsApp.
The recipient has blocked your WhatsApp number.
The contact may not have an active WhatsApp account.
Your message template may not be approved or may violate policy.
Here are some actions you can take:
✔ Correct invalid phone numbers in your contact list.
🔄 Resend the message after the issue is resolved.
📩 Ask the user to unblock your business number.
📞 Reach out via another channel to reconnect.
Regularly review failed contacts to:
Clean up invalid numbers
Maintain healthy delivery rates
Improve broadcast performance
Protect your WhatsApp sender reputation
If you’re running broadcasts, always:
Check failed contacts after the campaign.
Export logs if needed.
Remove permanently invalid numbers from your list.
