How to Delete WhatsApp Business API Number?

If you need to permanently remove your WhatsApp Business API number, it must be done from Meta’s WhatsApp Manager. Follow the steps below carefully to avoid unintended data loss or service disruption.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Open WhatsApp Manager

Go to Meta’s WhatsApp Manager:
https://business.facebook.com/latest/whatsapp_manager/

Log in with the Facebook Business account connected to your WhatsApp Business API.

Navigate to Phone Numbers

• In the left-hand menu, go to Account Tools

• Click Phone Numbers

You’ll see a list of all WhatsApp Business API numbers connected to your account.

Select the Number You Want to Delete

• Locate the WhatsApp number you want to remove

• Click the Delete () icon next to the number

Confirm Deletion

• A confirmation pop-up will appear

• Click Next and confirm the deletion

Once confirmed, the number will be permanently removed from your WhatsApp Business Account.
