DMLY allows you to transfer chatbots (automation rules) between workspaces, accounts, or client environments using the Export and Import feature.
This is ideal for:
Moving bots from staging to production
Duplicating bots across clients
Backing up automations
Selling or sharing chatbot templates
Migrating to a new workspace
Below is the complete step-by-step process.
Step 1: Export the Chatbot
Go to AutomationsNavigate to:
Automations → All Rules
You will see a list of your automation rules (bots).
Select the Bot(s)Use the checkbox on the left side of the rule(s).
You can select:
A single chatbot
Multiple chatbots
Entire groups/folders
At the bottom, you’ll see:
“X Automation Rule(s) selected”
Click Actions → Export Selected RulesClick the Actions dropdown.
Choose:
Export Selected Rules
A modal will appear showing:
“Automation rules export – processing”
Wait for ProcessingExports are processed in the background.
You will receive a notification when ready.
Download the Export FileGo to:
Settings → Data Exports → Other Exports
You will see:
Export Type: AUTOMATION-RULE

Step 2: Import the ChatbotNow switch to the destination workspace or account.
Go to AutomationsNavigate to:
Automations
Click “Import Rules”At the top right of the page, click:
Import Rules
Upload the FileYou can upload:
The ZIP file directly
OR
The extracted rules-export.json file
DMLY will process and recreate the automation rules.
After Import – Important StepsOnce imported:
Review the rule settings.
Confirm triggers are correct.
Ensure required channels are connected:
Messenger
Telegram
Re-check Webhooks if used.
Test with a real message.
Publish the rule (toggle ON).
Imported bots are usually inactive by default — you must enable them.
