Once you’ve created and configured your automation rule (bot), the final step is to publish it so it can start responding to messages. You can also deactivate it anytime without deleting the rule — individually or in bulk.
Publishing a Bot (Activating the Rule)After configuring:
Trigger
Conditions (if any)
Actions (AI replies, messages, tagging, etc.)
You must publish the rule for it to go live.
Method 1: Publish from Inside the RuleOpen your automation rule.
In the top-right corner, locate the “Publish Rule” toggle.
Turn it ON.
Click Save (if required).
When enabled:
The toggle turns green with a checkmark.
The rule becomes active immediately.
The bot will start responding to matching triggers.
Method 2: Activate from the Rules ListGo to Automations → All Rules
Locate your rule.
Under the Status column:
Toggle ON to activate
Toggle OFF to deactivate
Green toggle = Active
Grey toggle = Inactive
This method is useful for quick enable/disable without opening the rule.
Deactivating a BotYou may want to temporarily stop a bot without deleting it.
To deactivate:
Toggle OFF the rule from either:
Inside the rule (Publish Rule switch)
Automation rules list (Status column)
Once disabled:
The bot stops responding immediately.
No triggers will fire.
Configuration remains saved.
You can reactivate anytime.
Bulk Activating and Deactivating BotsIf you need to manage multiple bots at once (for campaigns, migrations, or maintenance), you can enable or disable them in bulk.
How to Bulk Activate RulesGo to Automations → All Rules
Use the checkboxes on the left to select multiple rules.
Click the Actions dropdown at the bottom.
Choose:

Export Selected Rules
Deleting vs DeactivatingAction | What Happens |
Deactivate | Stops the bot but keeps configuration |
Delete | Permanently removes the rule |
Bulk Disable | Stops multiple bots instantly |
Bulk Enable | Activates multiple bots instantly |
Use Deactivate or Bulk Disable if:
You’re testing changes
You’re troubleshooting
You’re pausing campaigns
You’re restructuring automation
You’re launching a new bot version
Important Notes
Only published (enabled) rules respond to triggers
Multiple active rules may conflict if triggers overlap
Order of rules may affect behavior
Bulk enabling overlapping rules may cause duplicate replies
Always test after mass activation
Best Practice Before Publishing or Bulk EnablingBefore turning ON bots:
Confirm triggers are correct
Check for conflicting rules
Test AI prompts in Playground
Ensure fallback/human transfer logic exists
Validate conditions
Review rule order
Example ScenariosCreate 5 marketing bots
Keep them disabled
Bulk enable on launch day
Bulk disable all AI bots
Keep only human inbox active
Disable old bot
Enable new updated bot
Monitor performance
SummaryYou can:
Publish a single bot using the Publish Rule toggle
Activate/deactivate from the Status column
Enable or disable multiple bots using Bulk Actions
This gives you full control over when and how your automation runs — individually or at scale
